Oak Farm Vineyards is a family owned and operated estate winery located in Lodi CA. The land was originally home to William DeVries and his wife Cornelia Crowe, which William bought in 1860. The area was then referred to as the “Elkhorn Township” DeVries was a wheat farmer, brought up animals, and even the Justice of Peace. In 1876, William designed the beautiful colonial style house. The estate has been largely refurbished with great concern for its heritage. The ranch was one of the most beautiful and beautiful lands in the state in the San Joaquin Valley.
DeVries was an enthusiastic lover of trees, particularly of oaks, and on the home ranch, he never allowed a tree to be cut unless it was a menace. Today, many of the property’s enormous oaks still stand, along with the DeVries family burial plot.
The Panella family arrived in 1936 and began a farming journey which ended in 2004 when the oak farm had been purchased. Dan has revealed the task of replanting the 60 acres of viticulture of the property in 2012 as a third generation California Farmer to fill up the enormous potential of Lodi. Dan is led to create a multifaceted portfolio of wines made from estates and grapes selectively produced by a professional team of agricultural specialists.
Today, Oak Farm Vineyards offers the same wine tasting menu experience in the appellation Lodi. In our degustation room is a 70-acre oasis of luxuriant wines and beautiful century-old oaks. The estate is also located in Annadan Suites, our beautiful holiday rental, a short walk from the degustation room. The degustation room is open seven days a week. Check-in and booking are available, whereas tours and private degustations require an advance reservation.
